New Souls for the Kingdom of God - 7th February 2026
On Sabbath 7th February 2026, Lewisham Seventh-day Adventist Church witnessed a powerful and joy-filled move of God. Pastor Steve Roberts delivered a timely message titled “Revival and Reformation in the Light of the Great Flood,” reflecting on the story of Noah and what the flood signifies for us today. His words called the congregation to deeper faith, renewed commitment and trust in God’s saving grace.
Following this message of encouragement and revival, two precious souls entered the watery grave of baptism. It was the first baptism of the year at Lewisham, and by God’s grace it will not be the last.
We rejoiced as Leah Hansel and Nourdia Green publicly committed their lives to the awesome God we serve. Though rain fell outside, our hearts were overflowing with praise and thanksgiving inside. The atmosphere in the church was one of celebration, gratitude and hope as the congregation welcomed them into the family of faith.
Baptism is a sacred moment, a declaration of new life in Christ and a step of courage and conviction. As a church community, we pledge our continued prayers and support as Leah and Nourdia begin this new chapter in their spiritual journey.
God’s love continues to reach far and wide in this wonderful movement. All heaven rejoices when souls come home, and on this Sabbath, we rejoiced together.
Welcome to our newest members. May the Holy Spirit surround, guide and strengthen them each day.
