Children Minsitry

At Lewisham SDA Church, we’re committed to nurturing the faith of every child, from birth up to age 15. Through fun, meaningful, and spiritually enriching experiences, we aim to help children grow in confidence, love, and a lasting relationship with Jesus.

What We Do:

1. A Space Where Every Child Belongs
Our ministry creates an environment where children and teens feel seen, safe, and welcomed. From weekly services to special events, we prioritise inclusion and encourage every child to participate fully. We echo Jesus’ call to “let the little children come,” ensuring every moment is filled with joy, warmth, and the kind of energy that makes them want to return week after week.

2. Led by Passionate, Diverse Role Models
Our team is made up of both men and women from different cultures, age groups, and professions — all united by a shared love for Christ and for children. Together, we lead with compassion, creativity, and the belief that ministry to young minds is both a responsibility and a joy.

3. Faith in Action Through Fun and Learning
From creative Bible studies and age-specific lesson reviews to arts and crafts, sensory activities, and public speaking, we offer a wide range of experiences that connect children with Scripture and with each other. We host everything from leaf-kicking in the park to junior AYS programmes and our glamorous Children’s Banquet. Every activity is rooted in the goal of helping children grow into friends of Jesus and kind, confident members of their community.
