Lewisham Men Reaffirm Their Faith

At Lewisham Church we have an active Men's Ministry Department that aims for the men of our church to be Godly. To this end they have recently written down the aim that they have always worked towards, a mission statement that publicly states their mission for God and a pledge, motto and anthem that are in-keeping with their ethos.
The aim is:

"To restore Biblical manhood."

The mission statement is: To be true and honest men -

"The greatest want of the world is the want of men - men who will not be bought or sold; men who in their inmost souls are true and honest; men who do not fear to call sin by its right name; men whose conscience is as true to duty as the needle to the pole; men who will stand for the right though the heavens fall."

The motto is:

"As for me and my house we will serve the Lord"

The pledge is:

"Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil."
