Lewisham Pathfinders On Remembrance Day March

Lewisham Pathfinders made us proud on Sunday when they took part in the annual Lewisham Remembrance Day parade. Young people from both the Pathfinder Club and the associated Drum Corps marched from Lewisham Town Centre to the war memorial on Lewisham High Street as a sign of respect to those who died in the First World War. They joined representatives from other uniformed groups and those from the British Legion who laid wreaths and took part in a moment of silence for the fallen.Many onlookers commented on the discipline and the drumming and were impressed by the group's skill and precision. We were joined by Pathfinders from churches such as North Wembley, Chatham and North East Ghana to remember men and women who fought and lost their lives in war's present and past. Damian Mccoy, a member of the public who was at the march was very impressed with the group and expressed to us how proud he was to and sent his sincere thanks to the group.

"I attended the Remembrance Sunday memorial in Lewisham and I would like to say how proud I felt to see the youngsters from the Pathfinder troop marching with pride and dignity. Those young people are a credit to their group and a credit to Lewisham.
